Short Term Rental Home Zoning
There are specific zones in the Central Florida area where short term rental homes are allowable. All of these areas are around Disney and the major theme parks, with the exceptional of an area near the Orange County Convention Center. In order to be able to rent your home short term, your home must be zoned and licensed accordingly. You cannot rent your home short term in a residential area that is not zoned for such rental terms.

Well, one thing about short-term rental homes is there’s only certain areas that are zoned for short-term rental. All of the areas are in the Disney area, and there’s one other area by the Orange County Convention Center that’s zoned for short-term rental. People think that they can purchase a home and rent it short-term in a residential neighborhood, but that’s not the case. It has to be zoned and licensed like a hotel. There’s certain areas, and that’s it. You just can’t purchase a home in any area and rent it short-term. It’s not allowable.
